The fine print, plainly
Privacy Policy
We’re a small family flower shop, and we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated: we collect as little as possible, use it only to get flowers where they’re going, and never sell it.
Last updated: July 11, 2026 · This version replaces our previous policy dated September 8, 2010.
What information do we collect?
You can browse our entire website anonymously — no account, no sign-up, nothing to register for. We only collect information when you give it to us, which happens two ways:
- When you place an order (online or by phone): your name and contact details (phone, email), the recipient’s name, delivery address, and phone number, your card message, and the delivery date and any delivery instructions.
- When you contact us: whatever you choose to share in your call or email.
Payments made through our website are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). Your card number goes directly to them over an encrypted connection — it never touches our website’s servers, and we never see or store it.
What do we use your information for?
- To design, prepare, and deliver your order.
- To reach you — or the recipient — if a delivery question comes up.
- To send you an order confirmation or receipt.
- To keep our own shop records and improve how we do things.
That’s it. We don’t have a newsletter or a marketing list, and the email address you give us with an order is used only for that order.
Your recipient’s privacy
Sending flowers means trusting us with someone else’s name and address. We use a recipient’s details solely to complete that delivery — they’re never added to any list or used for anything else.
How do we protect your information?
- Our entire website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) — not just the checkout.
- Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor. We don’t store card numbers, ever.
- Order details live in access-controlled systems, and only the folks at our studio who prepare and deliver your order see them.
Do we use cookies?
Our website doesn’t set advertising or tracking cookies. Two honest details worth knowing:
- Your shopping cart is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it’s still there when you come back. It stays on your device and isn’t sent to us until you check out.
- Site analytics are aggregate and privacy-friendly — they tell us which pages are helpful without cookies, advertising profiles, or tracking you across other websites. Since we don’t track you, a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal has nothing here to opt out of.
A few of our pages embed content from other companies — Google Maps for delivery maps, YouTube for our town videos, and the Facebook feed on our Murphys page. Those services may set their own cookies when that content loads, under their own privacy policies.
Do we share information with outside parties?
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information — full stop. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run the studio — payment processing, website hosting, and sending order emails — and only the minimum they need to do their job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
If you order through DoorDash rather than our website, that order is governed by DoorDash’s own privacy policy.
Third-party links
Our pages link out to local venues, wineries, community organizations, and review sites we think are helpful. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for their content or practices.
Your California privacy rights
We’re a California shop serving California customers. Wherever you live — but especially under California law — you’re welcome to ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email and we’ll take care of it, usually the same day. And because we never sell personal information, there’s no “sale” to opt out of.
Children’s privacy
Our website is intended for people 13 and older, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Online policy only
This policy applies to information collected through our website, not to information you share with us offline — over the phone or by email.
Changes to this policy
By using our website, you agree to this policy. If we change it, we’ll post the update on this page and revise the date at the top.
